Instructions: In a large saucepan, melt the butter and saute the garlic and shallot until very lightly tan. Stir in the flour until blended. Graually add the beef broth, water, salt, red pepper, pepper, parsley and mushrooms and bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer for thirty minutes, or until the mushrooms are cooked. Bring back to a boil, and add the shrimp and scallions. Remove from heat just before it returns to a boil. Season if neccessary and ladle into cups and garnish with grated parmesan cheese. Makes enough so that at least eight fishermen Email this Recipe:
