Instructions: Blend sour cream, sugar, butter, and eggs together. Cream well. In a separate bowl, blend together all the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture: blend for 3 1/2 minutes with an electric mixer or 350 strokes by hand. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
Preheat Oven to 325 degrees. Pour cake mixture into the pan; bake for 1 1/2 hours. After 1 1/2 hours, TURN THE OVEN OFF AND LET THE CAKE STAND IN THE OVEN FOR 10 MINUTES MORE! This cake can be topped with hot pineapples or strawberries, but its best enjoyed with no topping at all!
