Instructions: Place the butter in a medium saucepan, preferably nonstick. Melt the butter, stirring well. Add the ground almonds, cream, and sugar to the pan, stirring to combine. Reduce the heat and stir constantly for 10-12 minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan.
Increase the heat until the mixture turns a little darker in color. Transfer to a shallow serving dish and smooth with the back of a spoon. Decorate the top of the dessert with the chopped almonds and pistachios. Allow the dessert to set for about 1 hour, then cut into diamond shapes, and serve cold.
