1 cup Amish Friendship Bread Starter (See recipe)
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup white sugar
4 x eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 x (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix**
2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts*
1 cup peeled, cored and chopped apple*
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease three 9x5 inch loaf pans.

2. Place the starter in a bowl, stir in the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix well.

3. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, instant pudding, and cinnamon. Add the flour mixture to the starter mixture and beat by hand. Add the pecans, raisins and apples and mix well. Pour batter into the prepared pans.

4. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour.

* All are optional

**I use Vanilla pudding with the cinnamon, if youd like to make Lemon use the Lemon pudding and Lemon extract. You can also use Chocolate Pudding, Butterscotch or anything you might desire! Vanilla Pudding mix, pecans and chocolate chips are just GREAT! My favorite is the Lemon pudding, extract, 1 Tbls. lemon peel. Omit the cinnamon for Lemon, Butterscotch or Chocolate.

Prepare the pan by HEAVILY greasing it and then coat with sugar and cinnamon. I like to use a bundt pan but 2 regular loaf pans will work as well. Use ONLY the solid shortening...sprays or oil will NOT work..the bread WILL stick.
