2 x apples (roman beauty)
2 x pears (firm comice)
1/2 cup dried cranberries, raisins, or dried cherries
1 tbl all-purpose flour
2 tbl honey
1 x 2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1/4 cup ground nuts

1. Peel apples and pears, and cut them into 1/2 inch cubes. Combine with dried cranberries, 1 tablespoon flour, honey, and lemon juice. Place this mixture in a greased 8 inch baking dish.

2. Blend together until crumbly 1/2 cup flour, brown sugar, oats, nuts, and butter. Do not over mix. Sprinkle flour mixture loosely over fruit.

3. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) until brown and crisp on top, about 45 minutes.

Makes 1 crisp

This is a variation of the traditional Apple Crisp that I dreamed up one day when I didnt have enough apples and there were pears in the fruit bowl and leftover toasted hazelnuts from something else. We love it.
