Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F degrees.
Lightly spray an 8-inch by 8-inch baking dish with vegetable oil and arrange the apples in the dish. Sprinkle with the lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon. In a small nonstick saucepan over medium heat, cook the oat bran, rolled oats, granola, flour, brown sugar, and margarine for about 3 minutes, stirring well. Spoon the mixture over the apples and bake for 45 minutes. (Or cook in the microwave oven at high for 20 minutes with loosely covered plastic wrap (microwaving makes the topping less crisp.) In a small bowl, whisk together the yogurt and maple syrup. To serve, drizzle the sauce around the edge of individual plates and spoon a serving of the crisp in the center. 82 Lynn Fischer / Healthy Indulgences, the Book. Add 1/4 cup raisins or toasted walnuts for texture and crunch, if you wish. For an extra touch, I serve it with a yogurt or low-fat ice cream topping, but this is also satisfying just as is.
