Instructions: Stir together first 5 dry ingredients. Mix oil, eggs,sugar,vanilla,and brandy or flavoring with water. Add wet mixture with dry ingredients and mix well.
Add apples and nuts. Mix again. Dough will be very stiff, like cookie dough. Spread into a lightly greased 9" X 9" X 2" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Cut into squares or bars.....Very rich...Does not need frosting. Beverly Says: This one has a brownie-like texture, and the flavor is wonderful....make plenty of them, they dont stay around long enough to get stale. The name came from one of my teen-age sons.
