Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heavily butter an 11 x 7 inch baking dish.
Roll the dough out 1/4 inch thick and cut into 1/2 inch strips. Spread the apples along the bottom of the dish and drizzle with the maple syrup. In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar and spices. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture on top of the apples. Lay the pastry strips over the apples in a latticework and brush with the butter.
