Ingredients:

500 gm apples, Granny Smith
3 tbl water
2 tsp sugar (caster)
15 gm butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Peel and core the apples.

Slice into a saucepan and add the water and clove.

Cover and cook over a low heat until the apples are well broken down and soft. Remove from the heat, remove clove, beat to a pulp, then add the sugar and butter. Continue beating until melted.

Serve hot or cold with roast pork, roast duck or grilled pork sausages.

For roast pork.
