1 tsp canola oil may be doubled
2 x sliced apples, peeled cored
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup defatted low-sodium beef broth
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat oil in nonstick skillet. Add apples and saute until soft and lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove to a plate. to the skillet add the apple juice and chicken broth. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Boil until reduced by half. Add sauteed apples, heat through, and serve.

NOTES : Instead of apple sauce, serve this easy to prepare saute of sliced apples with chicken or pork (and ham), or baked root vegetables and wild rice mix.
