Note: Original recipe used 3 Tbsp butter In heavy 10" skillet over med-high heat, melt margarine. Slice shallots into very thin wedges and add to skillet; cook, stirring occasionally, about 8 min or until almost tender. Meanwhile, core red cooking apples and cut them into 1/2" wedges; add to sauteed shallots. Add sliced sage and crystallized ginger; stir to fully incorporate. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook 5 - 8 min or until just tender. This was amazing ..... very, very good!! It was almost a dessert. Definitely a keeper. Very easy to prepare.
