Instructions: To prepare salad, place spinach and sliced apples in large bowl and refrigerate until ready to dress.
To prepare dressing, cook bacon in small nonstick pan over medium-high heat until half-done, 2 to 3 minutes. Add onion and garlic and cook until onion is barely tender, about 1 minute. In small bowl, whisk together mustard, vinegar, sugar, red chili flakes, pepper, salt and oil. Stir into pan with bacon mixture. Immediately remove from heat and pour over spinach and apples. Toss until salad is well coated with dressing. Serve immediately. Makes 4 to 6 servings as starter salad. Email this Recipe:
