Instructions: Peel, core and finely slice the apple.
Cream butter and sugar until pale in colour. Mix in egg. Add the milk and flour alternately, 1/3 at a time, mixing lightly between each addition. Spoon into a greased 20cm cake tin, arrange overlapping slices of apple in a decorative fashion over the top. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with combined cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 190C/380F for about 30 minutes. Serve with afternoon tea. Email this Recipe:
