Instructions: In medium skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the margarine and walnuts over medium heat untio nuts are lightly toasted, stirring occasionally. With slotted spoon, remove nuts from skillet; place in small dish. Add honey and nutmeg to nuts; mix to glaze. Set aside. Melt remaining 6 tablespoons margarine in same skillet over medium heat. Add celery and onion; cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until almost tender, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, spray 4-6 quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Place stuffing cubes in sprayed slow cooker. Add mushrooms and cooked celery and onion with butter; mix lightly. Add applesauce and water; mix lightly. Cover; cook on LOW setting for 4-5 hours. Just before serving, sprinkle with glazed walnuts.
