1/2 lb Potatoes Peel, Cut In 2" Pcs
1 lrg Rome Apple *Note
1 tsp Salt
1/4 cup Water

Instructions: *NOTE: Or Mcintosh or Macoun apple 10 - 12 oz, left unpeeled, but core and cut into 1" pieces

By the time the potatoes and apple in this recipe are tender and can be mashed together, there is just enough liquid remaining to make the mixture creamy. A whisk or electric hand mixer can be used for mashing, but dont overdo this; the puree should be somewhat chunky, with pieces of apple peel
providing a chewy contrast.

Place the potato, apple, and salt in a saucepan with the water.

Bring the mixture to a boil, cover, reduce the heat to low, and boil gently
for 30 min, until the potatoes and apple are tender.

Add the butter, and mash the mixture by beating it with a whisk or an electric hand mixer until creamy but still somewhat chunky.

Serve immediately.

Total Time: 40 min

Yield: 4 servings

Actually I was surprised that this was good. I thought that the combination was going to taste strange but it didnt.
