Instructions: Mix crumbs and melted butter and press in bottom of an 8x8x2-inch baking pan.
Core and peel apples and cut into pieces. Simmer apples, water, 1/4 cup of the sugar, and the cinnamon until apples are just tender, 1 to 2 minutes. Add cornstarch which has been dissolved in cold water. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Cream butter and remaining 1/2 cup sugar. Blend in flour until crumbly to make topping. Pour cooled apple filling into graham cracker crust. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until lightly browned. Email this Recipe:
