1 cup All-purpose flour
1/2 cup Brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp Ground cardamom see note
1/2 cup Apricot nectar
1/4 cup Unsweetened applesauce
2 tbl Vegetable oil
1 x Egg slightly beaten
1/2 cup Dried apricots finely chopped
----------------- Apricot icing: ----------------
1/2 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and cardamom; set aside.

In a small bowl, stir together apricot nectar, applesauce, oil and egg until combined. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until combined. Stir in apricots. Spread batter in an ungreased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.

Bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Drizzle with Apricot Icing.

Cut into bars.

For Apricot Icing, in a small bowl, stir together powdered sugar and enough apricot nectar to make a glaze. NOTES Substitute 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves, if desired.
