Instructions: Combine the apricots and water and stew them on a low heat until soft and pulpy.
Make a syrup by boiling the sugar and some of the water from the cooked apricots. The syrup should be fairly thick. Remove the stones from the apricots and discard. Mix the fruit into the syrup and spoon into individual bowls. Sprinkle the almonds and drizzle the cream over each seeing. Place a piece of silver foil on top of each bowl and serve well chilled.
