8 oz Basmati rice, (225g)
1/2 tsp Salt
A pinch of Schwartz Saffron Strands
5 x Schwartz Whole Green Cardamoms
1 tsp Schwartz Fennel Seeds
6 x Schwartz Whole Cloves
1/2 x Schwartz Cinnamon Stick
3 x Schwartz Bay Leaves
Instructions:
Instructions: Rinse the rice thoroughly in cold running water. Place in a large pan of boiling water together with the salt, Saffron, Cardamom, Fennel Seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon and Bay Leaves. Cook, uncovered, for 12 - 14 minutes or until the rice is tender.

Drain and rinse in a sieve with boiling water. Gently stir in the butter until melted. Remove the whole spices, if desired, before serving.
