1 can asparagus (I use Del Monte)
1 x regular loaf of bread (soft kind)
8 oz Roquefort Cheese (I use Blue cheese)
8 oz cream cheese
1 tbl mayonnaise
1 x egg, beaten
Instructions:
Instructions: Cut all the crusts off the bread. Roll bread out flat. Spread with mixture of cheeses, mayo and egg. Top with one stalk of asparagus per slice of bread. Roll up and cut in three pieces. Dip each piece in melted butter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. This may be made the day before or frozen ahead before baking. When ready to bake, cook at 350 for about 15 minutes or until well browned. There is usually enough cheese mixture for 2 cans of asparagus and 2 loaves of bread.
