Instructions: Steam the asparagus until tender but crisp, about 10 minutes, and plunge into cold water to stop the cooking and set the color. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Chill the asparagus and pour the lemon butter over them prior to transporting.
