Instructions: Melt 3 squares chocolate in water. Cool. Combine eggs, sugar, salt and butter. Add chocolate mixture, vanilla, buttermilk and soda. Add flour.
Pour into three 8- or 9-inch pans. Bake at 375 about 30 minutes. Cool and ice with Colonnade Icing (see Index). Dribble 1 square chocolate over top and sides. Email this Recipe:
