1/4 cup whole-wheat flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter room temperature
1 cup molasses
1 x egg
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt in mixing bowl. Cut in butter using pastry blender. Add molasses, egg and applesauce. Beat well. Stir in raisins.

Pour into greased and floured 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 40 to 45 minutes. Turn out on cake rack to cool. Cut into squares.

This recipe yields 8 servings.
