Instructions: Beat the eggs and sugar together, slowly add the flour then the yeast, mix well. Add enough milk to make a batter about the same consistency as a pancake batter (not too thin).
Leave batter to sit for 15 minutes. Remove stems and stones from cherries. Butter a flan dish and pour in the batter. Arrange the cherries on top. Bake in a hot oven 190C/380F for about 35 minutes until golden brown. Dust with sugar and serve hot or cold with cream and/or ice-cream. Ideal summer dessert when fresh cherries are available.
