150 ml ghee
600 gm banana peeled and chopped
220 gm sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg powder
Instructions:
Instructions: Heat 2 tablespoons of the ghee in a heavy pan.

Add the banana and the sugar and cook on a low heat stirring all the while to prevent it from sticking.

Keep drizzling in a little of the ghee from time to time until all the moisture evapourates and the mixture becomes sticky and brown.

Add the powdered spices and stir.

Remove from the heat when the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.

Do not overcook as the halwa will turn hard.

Pat the halwa into a deep platter cool and cut into squares or slices

This is a recipe for a halwa which is one of the many delicious ways of preserving fruits. This dish makes a good dessert or an instant energy snack.
