Instructions: Combine marinade ingredients in a nonmetallic bowl. Add shrimp and toss to coat each shrimp well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Threat 1 shrimp on each soaked skewer.
Preheat broiler. Alternatively preheat a ridged case-iron griddle, grill pan, or barbecue. Broil shrimp until they turn pink and lose their transparency, 3 minutes on each side. Serve hot, warm or at room temperature. Can be prepared ahead: marinate shrimp up to 4 hours in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Skewer shrimp up to 1 hour in advance.
