2 tbl beef bouillon powder
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup barley, pot or pearl
1/2 cup ( in total) chopped onions and mushrooms
2 tsp parsley flakes
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
Instructions:
Instructions: Pine nuts or slivered almonds , toasted, for garnish

Stir powder into boiling water in a 2 Liter casserole. Add barley, onions, mushrooms parsley and pepper. Garnish with nuts. Cover and bake at 350F

(175 C) for approx. 2 hours, til barley is tender. makes 4 1/2 cups.
