1/2 oz shiitake mushrooms dried, I presume
1 tbl stick margarine
8 oz presliced mushrooms
4 cup water
1 cup uncooked pearl barley
1 oz onion soup mix Lipton Recipe

Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Remove and discard stems from shiitake mushrooms; slice mushroom caps. heat margarine in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add shiitake and presliced mushrooms; saute 5 minutes or until tender. Set aside.

3. Combine water, barley, and onion soup mix in a 3-quart casserole; stir in mushroom mixture. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed. Garnish with chives, if desired.

Yield: 6 servings.

Serving size (about 3/4 cup)
