1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup canola oil
1 tbl cider vinegar
1 tbl blackstrap molasses
1 tbl hot pepper sauce
1/2 tbl capers, crushed with a fork
4 x cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ground ginger
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 1 hour to reduce liquid by roughly half.

The baste can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
