1 cup Unbleached flour
2 tbl Granulated sugar
4 tsp Baking powder
3/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1 x Egg white -- whipped
1 cup Skim milk -- at room

1/4 cup Applesauce -- at room

Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven at 350. Prepare a 8" square baking pan with cooking spray and flour. In a mixing bowl, combine cornmeal. flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper. In another mixing bowl, combine egg white, milk, applesauce, and basil. Mix dry ingredients with wet ingredients just until moistened. Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until top is light golden.
