2 lb lean pork spareribs cut into individual ribs
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbl firmly packed light brown sugar
2 tbl fresh lemon juice
1 tbl soy sauce
3/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce or to taste
Instructions:
Instructions: In a kettle simmer the ribs in salted water for 30 minutes and drain them.

While the ribs are cooking, in a small saucepan combine the ketchup, brown sugar, lemon juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Bring the basting sauce to a boil, stirring frequently, and simmer for 5 minutes.

Arrange ribs, meaty side up, on the oiled rack of a broiler pan. Brush them with some of the basting sauce, and broil them under a preheated broiler about 4 inches from the heat for 5 to 7 minutes, or until they are browned. Brush the ribs with the remaining basting sauce.
