Instructions: Divide hash among 6 lightly greased custard cups. Press to form "baskets". Break an egg into the center of each basket. Dot with butter and cover with 1 tablespoon of milk or cream. Add salt and pepper. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes or until egg is set.
This recipe yields 6 servings. Variations: o Sprinkle each with 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese o Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon shredded Swiss, cheddar or Jack cheese o Sprinkle each with seasoned bread crumbs o Top each with salsa, sour cream and chopped onions after baking. o Press hash into a greased 8- by 8-inch pan.
