1/2 lb stewing beef.
6 med carrots.
6 x celery stalks.
4 lrg potatoes.
6 oz fresh green [snap] beans.
8 oz mushrooms.
2 tbl garlic powder or 6 lg. cloves, minced.
salt an pepper to taste.
1 lrg [about] 24oz. can whole peeled[Roma] tomatoes. cut into quarters.
2 x 10 oz. cans beef broth.
cup and A half all
purpose flour.
6 oz cooking oil, use more if needed.
Instructions:
Instructions: Place flour salt an pepper in bag. Rinse meat in cold water,drain and place in bag with flour,shake well to coat all of the meat. save the left over flour. Heat oil in lg. pot, add meat only when oil is hot. keep checking the meat so that it dose not burn. Cut all the fresh vegetables into 1 in.pieces. I like to cut my vegetables on an angle. Cut mushrooms in half.Now place all the fresh vegetables, mushrooms and garlic into a microwave safe bowl with lid. microwave.on high for about 9 min. Keep checking your meat! When your meat is done, pour in broth and add two cans water.Then add tomatoes with the juice. When vegetables are done, add them to pot. Liquid should be at least two inches over vegetables,if not then add more water.add left over flour to 1 cup cold water, mix until smooth,Bring pot to boil. When pot is boiling pour in the flour/water mixture.This will thicken the liquid into A thick gravy,keep stirring until it is as thick as you would like it to be.
