Instructions: In a skillet, brown beef in shortening; pour off fat. Add soup, 1/4 cup water, catsup, mustard, garlic, Tabasco, and seasonings. Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add onions; cook 40 minutes more. Add green peppers and mushrooms; cook 20 minutes longer or until tender. Stir now and then. Gradually blend 1/4 cup water into flour until smooth; slowly stir into the meat. Cook, stirring until thickened. Serve over buttered, cooked egg noodles.
