Nonstick spray coating
3/4 lb round steak beef
separable fat and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 x Clove garlic minced
3/4 cup beef broth
1 cup carrots shredded
1 can waterchestnuts (8 ounce) drained sliced
1 tsp dried basil crushed
1/3 cup pearl barley
2 med zucchini halved lengthwise and thinly sliced (2 cups)
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Spray a large skillet with nonstick spray coating. Preheat skillet over

medium heat. Add meat and garlic. Brown meat on all sides. Stir in beef

broth, carrots, water chestnuts, and basil. Bring to boiling. Stir in barley;
return to boiling. Pour mixture into a 1-1/2-quart casserole.

2. Bake, covered, in a 350 degree oven about 50 minutes or till beef and barley
are nearly tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in zucchini and parsley.

Bake
15 to 20 minutes more, or till tender.
