Instructions: Cut beef into 1-inch squares. Place beef, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, beer, salt, pepper, oregano, and tomato paste in slow cooker. Set cooker on Low and cook for 8 to 10 hours. Mix melted butter with flour until a smooth, thick paste is formed and stir into stew. Taste stew and adjust seasoning to your personal preference. Turn slow cooker on High and allow mixture to thicken before serving.
