Add poppy seeds aniseed and melon seeds and fry until they turn dark. Take off the heat and add the cardamom powder and sugar. Mix well cool completely and store in a dry airtight bottle. There are many hundreds of betel nut mixtures that can be bought but here is a recipe for you to make at home. The difficult part is to grate or shred the betel nut.
