Instructions: Adult: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add mushrooms and onions, and saute until they begin to brown, about 5 minutes. Put mushroom and onion mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
Kids: Add carrots, celery, green peas and turkey to casserole dish and stir to mix. Adult: In medium saucepan you used before, melt 1/4 cup butter over medium heat. Sprinkle in flour and stir with a wire whisk until smooth. Add broth, milk and salt, stirring constantly to keep lumps from forming. Heat until just boiling and mixture is thick. Pour mixture over turkey and vegetables. Stir to mix and place in oven. Bake for 25 minutes. Kids: In a small bowl, combine baking mix and 1/3 cup milk. Stir until smooth. Adult: At the end of 25 minutes, remove casserole dish from oven. Carefully spoon biscuit dough on top of vegetables and turkey. Return to oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until biscuits are lightly browned. Serve immediately. Email this Recipe:
