Instructions: Preheat Oven to 500 Degrees F.
Note: These will be a heavier type biscuit. Place flour in mixing bowl and with a fork or pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture is coarse and crumbly.* Add milk and rest of ingredients. Mix with a fork or by hand until dough leaves sides of bowl. Place dough on a clean, lightly floured surface. Flour your hands and knead dough lightly 10 or 12 times. Roll out dough 1/2 to 1 inch thick (as preferred). Cut biscuits and place about 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden brown. Note: 2 cups Bisquick may be used instead of flour and shortening. I prefer making my own. Email this Recipe:
