1 cup dried black beans
6 cup water
3 x strips bacon
1 cup onion, chopped
2 tbl garlic, minced
1 tbl chili powder
1 tbl cumin
3 cup chicken stock
1 bn cilantro
Juice of 4 limes
Instructions:
Instructions: Sort and rinse the beans. Soak the beans in a large pan with the water overnight; drain.

Saute the bacon, onion and garlic in a large saucepan for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.

Add the chili powder and cumin. Cook for 1 minute longer.

Add the beans and chicken stock. Simmer for 1 hour.

Pour the mixture into a food processor. Process until pureed.

Stir in the cilantro, lime juice and salt.
