Instructions: These are salted spiced and fermented soya beans. In their dry form they are sold in plastic bags. They need to be rinsed slightly to remove any excess salt and then chopped before use. They are also available in tins as "black beans in salted sauce". Lift them out of their liquid chop them and use as the recipe suggests. Sharwoods sells Chopped Black Beans in its Chinese range.
