Instructions: Cream shortening, margarine, and sugar; add eggs and salt. Sift together: baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour. Add to shortening mixture. Mix well; add nuts. Drop on greased cookie sheet. Press down with glass bottom dipped in white sugar. Bake in 350 degree oven till done.
