Instructions: Reheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all the filling ingredients in the top of a double boiler. Cook, stirring, over hot water until mixture thickens to custard consistency. Remove from heat & beat with a wooden spoon until slightly cooled/ Prepare meringue. Whip egg whites until frothy. Beat in cream of tartar & continue beating until peaks start to form. Beat in powdered sugar 1 TBSP at a time, then beat in vanilla. Pour custard filling into baked pie shell. Cover w/meraingue. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
