Instructions: Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl; rub over chicken. Place a skillet over high heat until hot; add 1 tablespoon butter and quickly tilt in all directions so butter covers bottom. Add chicken; cook 2 minutes on each side or until blackened and charred. Remove chicken.
Melt remaining butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; add onion and saute 1 minute. Reduce heat to medium, and cook 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Line each pita half with 1/2 cup lettuce. Arrange 1 piece chicken and 2 tomato slices over lettuce; top with onion mixture. Email this Recipe:
