Instructions: Filling: In heavy pot, combine water, blueberries, brown sugar, apple pie spice, cinnamon, apples, sugar, cornstarch, salt and nutmeg. Cook on medium heat until bubbly, set aside.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line 8- or 9-inch pie plate with piecrust. Pour apple mixture into crust. Sprinkle with oats. Bake for 15 minutes. Topping: In a food processor, pulse butter and brown sugar 45 seconds or until blended. Add nuts and pulse 15 seconds. Add oats and fluff with fork. Reduce oven heat to 350; bake pie for 15 more minutes. Put topping on pie (it will be loose and crumbly) and bake for another 30 minutes. Email this Recipe:
