Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour oblong pan. Combine butter, cocoa, water, buttermilk and eggs in a saucepan. Stir constantly over low heat until mixture bubbles. In large bowl, mix sugar, flour and soda. Stir hot ingredients into dry ingredients. Beat until smooth, stir in vanilla. Bake for 25 minutes. Topping: Spread peanut butter on cool cake. Heat butter, cocoa and buttermilk until bubbly. Place sugar in large bowl, beat in hot mixture until smooth. Stir in vanilla and spread evenly over peanut butter. Email this Recipe:
