2 pkt dry yeast
1/2 cup water, warm
3/4 cup water, warm
3 tbl sugar
1 tbl salt
2 tbl shortening
Instructions:
Instructions: Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Stir in 1 3/4 cups warm water, sugar, salt and shortening. Add 3 1/2 cups flour; beat until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes). Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise in warm place until double (about one hour). Punch down and divide in half.

Shape and put into pans. Let rise 45 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
