Instructions: Mix together the above, to proof the yeast
Mix dry ingredients and then add yeast mixture. You may add more flour until it is as dry as machine will handle. Then knead bread to the proper consistency. I will usually add up to another cup of flour when kneading. Let rise in oiled dish until doubled. Knock down and form into loaves and place in greased loaf pans. Let rise until doubled, bake in preheated 425 degree F oven for 30 minutes or until done. I make 4 loaves from this recipe. Pans measure 8.5" X4.5" X 3.5" inside measurements. For whole wheat and rye, I substitute 2 -3 cups of flour for the white flour. Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon for a delightful taste. Email this Recipe:
