3 lb brisket
water
1 x onion
salt, to taste
2 lb sauerkraut
1 x potato
1 x apple, sliced
Instructions:
Instructions: Wipe meat, place in large pan add cold water to cover, bring to a boil and skim off fat.

Add onion and seasonings and continue to simmer until meat is tender.

About 2 hours.

Tranfer the meat and 1/4 of the liquid to another pan.

(The remaining liquid mak a strong broth to garish with noodles and serve as soup.)

To the meat add the sauerkraut, potato, and apple. Sprinkle with caraway seeds and simmer all together for 15 minutes.
