Instructions: Shell the broad beans.
Put the gammon steak in a pan with the wine sugar cloves and 140 ml water. Bring to the boil and simmer until the gammon is tender. Drain and cut into thin strips. Meanwhile cook the beans in boiling salted water. Drain well and mix with the gammon. Mix the melted butter with the seasoning and parsley. Pour over the beans. Variation: the butter can be replaced with leftover parsley or cheesesauce gently warmed through. Serves 4 Email this Recipe:
